Amir Kabir Publications launches initiative to support war-damaged bookstores
TEHRAN- Amir Kabir Publications in Tehran has launched a support campaign to safeguard the cultural front and assist bookstores affected by the recent U.S.-Israeli aggression on Iran.
Titled "Dedicated to the Book-Reading Leader," the initiative aims to support bookstores and distributors that sustained damages during the ongoing war and the brutal strikes carried out by the United States and the Zionist regime, the publications public relations announced on Tuesday.
The campaign is dedicated to the memory of Iran's Martyr Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, honoring his lifelong devotion to books and literature.
Under the terms of the project, affected bookstores are eligible to receive up to 1,000 titles from Amir Kabir’s extensive catalog, encompassing children’s, young adult, and adult literature, on a consignment basis. This allows retailers to stock their shelves without upfront costs, settling payments every three months only for the copies sold.
"We will not allow the disgraced figures of history and those tainted by the Epstein Island scandals to cause even the slightest flicker in the world-illuminating brilliance of this ancient land’s culture," the publisher’s statement read.
Amir Kabir Publications also called upon all patriotic publishers to join the movement and support booksellers who have stood firm despite the hardships of the recent conflict.
Amir Kabir, one of Iran’s oldest and most prestigious publishing houses, emphasized that culture remains a vital trench in the defense of the nation’s identity and resilience.
Following the Zionist regime and the U.S's a coordinated attack on Sunday morning, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, was martyred. Also, in a deadly strike on a girls’ school in southern Iran — Shajareh Tayyebah elementary school in Minab, a city in Hormozgan province, 168 children were martyred and 95 were injured.
In response, Operation “True Promise 4” has begun and will continue until the defeat of enemies.
